Grammy Museum LA
Born and raised near Holly Springs, Mississippi, Cedric Burnside,
grandson of legendary R.L. Burnside and son of drummer Calvin Jackson,
has been playing music for his entire life. This seven-time winner of the
prestigious Blues Music Award’s Drummer of the Year is widely regarded
as one of the best drummers in the world and has begun to make a name
for himself as a traditional blues guitarist, as well. Cedric Burnside Project’s
Descendants of Hill Country
, was released in 2015 and was nominated for a GRAMMY for Best Blues Album of the Year.
Students are invited to join us in the Sanders Soundstage for a performance
and discussion of Burnside’s career. This workshop is being held in celebration
of National Drumming Day and is recommended for grades 6+.

One (1) Chaperone is required per ten (10) students and will be admitted free. If you bring twenty (20) students you need
two (2) adult chaperones, and so on. For every twenty (20) students, one (1) bus driver will be admitted into the Museum
free of charge.
SCHOOL TOUR CANCELLATION POLICY:
Cancellations must be made at least one week in advance. If you must cancel a school tour, please call (662)-441-0100
AND email firstname.lastname@example.org. There are no refunds or exchanges.
All changes must be made three (3) business days prior to your tour. Payment is required on the day of your tour for
estimated student number. There are no refunds for students who cancel. Memberships do not apply to student admission
for school group tours. Group admission must be paid in one (1) transaction with one (1) form of payment. Split transactions
will not be permitted.
